Upland Birds and Upland Hunters Are Disappearing!
The future of upland wildlife habitat and America's hunting heritage is under serious threat. We're losing habitat, and we're losing hunters. We need your help before it's too late.
As the bulk of the baby boomer generation reaches the age of 70 and slowly phases out of hunting, massive reductions in conservation revenue are scheduled to begin as early as 2024. In fact, by 2032 state wildlife agencies and other conservation organizations will be faced with great challenges in revenue shortages, loss of political capital, and shrinking social relevancy.
To overcome these challenges, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are launching a nationwide, comprehensive effort to cultivate the next generation of upland habitat conservationists by engaging 1.5 million outdoor participants—double what we have accomplished since our founding in 1982.
This effort will provide new and expanded education and outreach programs to engage people of all ages in outdoor recreation, shooting sports, hunting, and habitat conservation.
This aggressive undertaking will only become a reality with a gift from you.
Our education and outreach efforts encompass four major strategies:
- Conservation leadership, including initiatives such as our National Youth Leadership Council and local Conservationist Clubs.
- Hunting heritage programs, including Learn-to-Hunt events and our hunter-mentor training program.
- Habitat and land stewardship, including community-based habitat projects.
- Shooting sports events, training, and resources.
One of the easiest ways to support our wildlife habitat conservation efforts and hunter mentoring programs is to make a gift to Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever as part of your will or estate plan. This gift will cost you nothing today, and it will ensure we can overcome the challenges facing our nation's great upland hunting heritage. To make a planned gift, please contact David R. Bue, Pheasants Forever Vice President of Development, at (218) 340-5519 or email@example.com.
