Growing Together, a Legacy for Future Generations

Don Livingwood

Don Livingood is leaving a legacy for future generations by including a planned gift to Pheasants Forever in his will.

As with most good things, the Habitat Legacy Society began because of the vision and leadership of a passionate individual.

In 1987, Don Livingood took action to leave a legacy for future generations by establishing a planned gift to Pheasants Forever as part of his will. In doing so, Don became the founding member of Pheasants Forever's Habitat Legacy Society.

"Remembering Pheasants Forever as part of my estate plan was one of the easiest decisions I ever made," Don says. "I documented my gift when the organization was young and when I was young. I knew that Pheasants Forever would continue to increase results for wildlife habitat over time. I also knew that my wealth would grow as I got older. I felt that Pheasants Forever would need much more support as the pressures placed on habitat increased. It was clear to me that, since I was already supporting the organization while alive, it only made sense to plan my support after I've departed."

Thanks to Don's vision and the leadership of many others, the Society has grown to over 400 individuals and families who have remembered Pheasants Forever, Inc. and Quail Forever as part of their will or estate plan. These people are committed to a future filled with abundant pheasants, quail, and other wildlife for the enjoyment of future generations.
