Family Values Last Forever
Over the years, Bill and Linda Brannan have become synonymous with wildlife habitat conservation in northeast Kansas. In fact, their efforts to instill a passion for wildlife in their family recently turned into a significant act of conservation.
In late 2015, the Brannans and their daughters' families, the Lierzs and Gawiths, created a family legacy by donating a conservation easement to Pheasants Forever. The perpetual easement is designed to protect the wildlife habitat they have established on their property, forever!
"It was always a dream of ours to have a place where we could spend time with our daughters, our son-in-laws, and our grandkids in the outdoors," Bill says, Pheasants Forever Conservation Easement Donor and Pheasants Forever Chapter Leader. "In 1999, this dream became a reality when we purchased a property near Centralia, Kansas. I've been fortunate to make many memories on the property that included the harvest of pheasants, quail, white-tailed deer, and turkeys, but my favorite memories are the smiles and laughs I have enjoyed with family and friends. A lot has changed in our area in the last decade, and I have witnessed the conversion of wildlife habitat like I never thought possible. For this reason, our families decided to protect our wildlife habitat forever by donating a conservation easement to Pheasants Forever on our 235-acre property. My dream was to have a place for wildlife, and now I know this dream will live on forever."
"I hope you will join my family in creating a conservation legacy for future generations by working with Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever to establish a permanent habitat protection plan for the wildlife habitat you own," Bill says.
